About Astron Energy Bursary
Astron Energy is a major South African fuels company, majority-owned by Glencore since its 2018 acquisition of Chevron's Southern African downstream assets. It has operated South Africa's roughly 850-strong Caltex-branded service station network under a licence from Chevron, and has since 2022 been progressively rebranding these stations as Astron Energy. Astron Energy offers a bursary programme covering Engineering and selected Commerce qualifications for full-time South African students.

South African citizens under 35 years of age, studying full-time towards a qualification from Diploma level upwards. The programme has an Engineering stream (Chemical, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical or Metallurgical Engineering, degree-level only) and a Commerce stream (Project Management, Business Administration, Property Studies, Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management, Digital Marketing or Human Resources Management, BCom preferred).
