How we write and check our guides
Our guides are written and reviewed by our editorial team, and each one shows who wrote it. We base them on information published by funders, universities, government departments and other official sources, and we link to those sources where it helps. Because bursary dates and rules change every year, we point you to the provider for the final word before you apply.
Which guide should I read?
The right place to start depends on where you are right now:
- In Grade 11 or 12: start with our guide on preparing for bursary season, then look at funding in the field you want to study.
- Already at university: read about university bursaries, NSFAS and postgraduate funding.
- Looking for work or training: see our guides to learnerships, internships and writing a CV.
- Receiving or applying for the SASSA SRD grant: our guides explain how to check your status and how to appeal a declined or stopped grant.

Careers and work readiness
Funding is only one part of the journey. Our career guides cover CVs, cover letters, interviews, graduate programmes and finding your first job after matric.
