About Genesis Analytics Bursary
The Genesis Educational Foundation Trust (GEFT) bursary, run by Genesis Analytics, funds Honours or Master's study in Economics and related fields for South African students from previously disadvantaged backgrounds. Genesis Analytics is an economics and data-driven consulting firm working on health, development, and public policy projects across Africa, and created GEFT to support the same kind of analytical talent its own consulting work depends on.
Unlike many corporate bursaries, GEFT bursars often intern at Genesis Analytics during their studies, gaining real consulting experience - several past recipients describe the internship and mentorship support as being just as valuable as the funding itself, with some going on to work at the firm after graduating.
Funding Details
The bursary primarily covers tuition fees, books, and stationery. Depending on available funds, GEFT may also be able to contribute toward additional needs such as accommodation and transport, though this isn't guaranteed for every recipient.

Because GEFT specifically funds postgraduate study, it isn't available to students still completing an undergraduate degree - you need to already be applying for your Honours or Master's.
