KwaZulu-Natal

KwaZulu-Natal's economy rests on its ports in Durban and Richards Bay, manufacturing, sugar and forestry, and tourism. The opportunities here include municipal and provincial programmes, funding from industry bodies such as the sugar industry's education fund, and awards for students from particular districts or schools.

Some listings are aimed at students from rural and farming communities, while others serve metropolitan residents. In both cases you will normally need proof of residence and, for need-based awards, proof of household income. Read the eligibility section closely, because the area covered can be as narrow as a single municipality. For opportunities open nationwide, visit our Scholarships and Learnerships pages.
