How Motus Mobility Solutions supports students
This bursary is deliberately limited to students who have already finished their first year. Motus wants to fund people who have proven they can handle university-level pressure, rather than relying on matric results alone. In the latest published round, applicants had to be South African citizens. They needed to be full-time undergraduates entering their second, third or fourth year at an accredited South African university. A minimum overall average of 70% applied. Qualifying degrees included Actuarial Science, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematical Sciences, Statistics and Data Science, and Industrial and Electrical Engineering.
The award covers tuition fees, textbooks and residence fees, either in full or in part. Awards are merit based, so your academic record carries the most weight. You also should not hold another bursary at the same time.
No formal employment work-back contract has been published for this bursary. However, recipients are generally expected to stay open to opportunities within the Motus Group after graduating.

The application process in the latest round ran by email rather than through an online portal. Candidates requested a form from the company and then returned it with certified copies of their ID, full academic records, proof of residence and a motivational letter. The closing date was 30 September 2026.
