Stefanutti Stocks

Stefanutti Stocks is a South African multidisciplinary construction group founded in 1971 by Biagino Stefanutti and Ivo Bressan, and listed on the JSE since 2007. Headquartered in Chloorkop, Kempton Park, the group operates through Construction & Mining, Building, and Mechanical & Electrical segments, delivering commercial, industrial, roads, municipal and mining infrastructure projects across South Africa and into neighbouring countries including Botswana, Eswatini, Namibia, Zambia and Zimbabwe. In 2006 the company brought in Moputso Investments, part of the Mowana Investments group, as a BEE shareholding partner.

The group's bursary programme funds students who have already completed first year and shown strong results in science and structural analysis, with clear links into Stefanutti Stocks' project sites through mentorship and vacation work; the company also runs a separate Graduate Internship Programme for civil engineering, mechanical engineering and quantity surveying graduates. Bursary funding covers tuition fees, accommodation, textbooks and prescribed materials.

As a construction group whose output depends on qualified site and design engineers, Stefanutti Stocks funds these programmes primarily to secure its own technical pipeline in a sector that regularly reports skills shortages. Bursary recipients are required to work back for the company for a period equal to the duration of the bursary they received, after which many are absorbed into the graduate programme or permanent site roles.
