About Citrus Academy Bursary
The Citrus Academy Bursary is funded by the Citrus Academy, the skills development arm of the Citrus Growers Association of Southern Africa, and is the largest private bursary fund in primary agriculture in South Africa. It supports students studying towards careers in the citrus industry.
The fund exists to secure a pipeline of skilled agriculturalists, horticulturalists, and agricultural engineers for an industry that depends on specialised, hands-on expertise rather than generalist qualifications.
Funding Details
The bursary provides partial funding towards tuition, books, accommodation, and meals - it is not a full-cost bursary, so most recipients still need to cover part of their costs from other sources.
Where You Can Study
Any recognised South African university, university of technology, or college qualifies, whether you study full-time or part-time, provided your qualification is citrus- or agriculture-related.
