About Power Construction Bursary
The Power Construction Bursary is funded by Power Construction, the civil engineering and building division of the Power Group, a privately owned South African construction company founded in 1983. The bursary supports civil engineering students from a defined set of Western Cape communities near the company's project footprint.
Eligibility is restricted to residents of Gouda, Saron, Tulbagh or Porterville who are studying, or planning to study, towards a BSc, BEng or National Diploma in Civil Engineering at an accredited South African tertiary institution. Recipients sign a bursary agreement that includes a work-back obligation with Power Construction after graduation.
Beyond this geographically targeted civil engineering bursary, Power Group also runs a broader, year-round bursary offering for university and university of technology students in fields such as Construction Management, Building Science, Quantity Surveying, Project Management and Business Commerce, administered through its careers portal.
