The BANKSETA Kuyasa Learnership gives IT and business systems graduates a structured route into the banking and financial services sector, combining practical work experience with a recognised NQF qualification over one year. Unlike Letsema, Kuyasa targets graduates rather than matriculants, reflecting the more technical nature of the roles it leads to.
BANKSETA funds Kuyasa as part of its broader mandate to build skills the banking and microfinance sector needs, in this case focused on business analysis and IT-related roles within banks.
Because Kuyasa is aimed specifically at graduates, it fills a different gap to school-leaver learnerships, helping banks build a pipeline of IT-literate staff who already hold a relevant qualification.
