About Pg Group Bursary

The PG Group Bursary Programme is funded by PG Group, a more than 120-year-old Southern African integrated glass manufacturing and distribution business known for brands including PG Glass, PFG (float glass), and PG SmartGlass. The programme is aimed specifically at African female students, supporting them through Accounting, Engineering and Information Technology qualifications at accredited South African universities.

Recipients receive developmental support and vocational work exposure during university holidays, with the possibility of moving into PG Group's Graduate Development Programme after completing their qualification.

Funding Details

The bursary covers tuition fees, stationery, and accommodation and meals at university residence rates, alongside vocational work during university holidays and potential entry into PG Group's Graduate Development Programme after graduation.

PG Group does not publish a restricted list of universities. Any accredited South African university offering Accounting, Chemical/Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or Information Technology should qualify.

Fields of Study & Who Can Apply

African female South African citizens aged 18 to 28, who achieved at least 70% overall in Matric, have completed first year of study with at least 65% overall, and are entering second year of a qualifying Accounting, Engineering (Chemical, Electrical or Electronics) or Information Technology degree at an accredited South African university.
