About Kmf High School Scholarship
The KMF High School Scholarship is funded and run by the Kay Mason Foundation (KMF), a Cape Town-based non-profit established in 1999 to remove barriers to quality education for talented young people from financially disadvantaged backgrounds in the Western Cape.
Rather than a once-off award, the scholarship supports selected learners through their entire high school journey - from Grade 8 through to matric - at partner schools, alongside academic tutoring, mentorship, psychometric testing, career guidance, and post-school support. The scholarship provides partial, not full, cover of schooling-related costs, and selection is based on financial need, academic potential, and demonstrated leadership and resilience.
Funding Details
Partial cover of school fees, uniforms, textbooks, transport, tutoring, school camps, and extra-curricular activities, plus non-financial support such as support workshops, psychometric testing, career guidance, and post-school support. The scholarship does not cover 100% of a scholar's education costs.
