About Schauenburg Education Trust Bursary
The Schauenburg Education Trust Bursary is funded by the Schauenburg Education Trust, linked to Schauenburg Systems, an OEM of mine safety and productivity technology and part of the German-headquartered Schauenburg International Group. The Trust funds Black South African students studying Electrical or Electronic Engineering, or Business Administration or Management, at one of four Gauteng universities.
The bursary is aimed at students already part-way through their degree, covering the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year of full-time study in 2027. It pays tuition-related fees directly to the university and adds an accommodation allowance, textbooks, and a living allowance on top.
In return, recipients are required to complete at least three weeks of vacation work or job shadowing at Schauenburg Systems during a mid-year break, giving bursars practical exposure to the company's mining technology business alongside their funded studies.
