About Municipal Infrastructure Support Agent Misa Bursary
The Municipal Infrastructure Support Agent (MISA) Bursary is run by MISA, a national government component under the Department of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs (COGTA), whose mandate is to build the technical capacity municipalities need to plan, deliver, and maintain infrastructure.
The bursary funds South African students studying toward built-environment qualifications, including fields such as Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction/Project Management, Urban and Regional Planning, and Environmental Management, at universities, universities of technology, and TVET colleges.
Because MISA is a government agency, the scheme is intended to build a pipeline of technical graduates who can go on to work in municipal infrastructure.
