After you apply to Sol Plaatje University (SPU), you check your academic admission status on SPU's student online system, the iEnabler. SPU usually emails firm offers shortly after the matric results are released. The guidance below comes from SPU's online registration guidelines and its application FAQs.
Logging in
Log in to the iEnabler with your student number and five-digit PIN. If you forgot your PIN, or need to create one, type your student number and click Request a PIN or Forgot PIN. The web PIN is sent to your email address.
View your admission status
Once logged in, use View Academic Admission Status, or View Academic Application Status, to see where your applications stand. You can also open View Correspondence to read the letters and messages SPU has sent you.
If you are blocked
If the system blocks you after three unsuccessful login attempts, contact your School Registrar or administrator to reset your login.
If your email has changed
Your PIN is sent to the email address on SPU's system. If it has changed, ask SPU to update your profile, by emailing applications@spu.ac.za.
Firm offers
SPU usually emails firm offers shortly after the matric results are released. Accept your offer on the iEnabler, using the link in your offer letter.
Your documents
If you are in Grade 12, you need a certified copy of your ID and your final Grade 11 results. If you have finished matric, you also need an affidavit about any study at a university or college. Upload documents under Certificates Seen and press Save after each one. Applications without documents cannot be processed.
Closing dates
For 2027, undergraduate and postgraduate applications were open until 31 October 2026.
Choosing programmes on the system
When you apply, click Submit Application and search for your programme with abbreviations such as BED, BA, BSC, HCERT or DIP. Each application shows its own status.
Applied before?
If the system says your ID number already exists, log in as a registered user with your previous application number. If you forgot it, use Forgot Student Number.
Registration after your offer
In 2026, first-year students with firm offers could register online from 26 January, and late registration ran from 9 to 20 February. Have your firm offer letter ready when you register.
NSFAS status
SPU's system shows your academic status only. Track your NSFAS application separately on the myNSFAS portal.
Getting help
Each faculty has an application contact, and SPU's admissions team answers questions at applications@spu.ac.za. See the SPU student portal page.
