Sol Plaatje University (SPU) uses the iEnabler, its student online system, for applications, admission status, online registration and residence applications. The guidance below comes from SPU's online registration guidelines.
Step 1: Log in
Log in with your student number and five-digit PIN, then click Login. If you need a PIN, click Request a PIN or Forgot PIN, and it is emailed to you.
Step 2: Accept the rules
Click Registration on the left, then Rules and Regulations. Read the SPU Online Registration Rules and the Indemnity and Consent Form, and click I Accept, which serves as your electronic consent.
Step 3: Upload documents
Click Certificates Seen and upload, as certified scans, the documents that apply to you:
- An acknowledgement of debt
- Proof of registration payment
- An acknowledgement of funding letter from your funder
Save each document. SPU confirms all uploads against the originals.
Step 4: Check your status and correspondence
Use View Academic Admission Status and View Correspondence to see your offers and messages.
Step 5: Register
Register your qualification and subjects, then generate your proof of registration. You can register more subjects later through the same system.
If you are blocked from registering
SPU's guide explains what to do if you are blocked from registering online, for example because of outstanding fees or missing documents. Contact your School Registrar or Student Debtors for help.
Paying
SPU is a cashless institution with no card facilities on campus. Pay by electronic or bank transfer, using your 9-digit student number as the reference, so that your payment is allocated correctly, and email your proof of payment to finance.enquiries@spu.ac.za.
Residence applications
SPU's residence FAQs say residence applications are also made online on the iEnabler. Once you accept your registration, you can use your proof of registration when you apply for residence.
Your proof of registration
Generate your proof of registration on the iEnabler once you have registered your qualification and subjects. Keep it safe, because you need it for residence, your student card and other services.
Need more help?
SPU's online registration guide ends with a section on getting assistance, with contacts for each school registrar.
Late registration
In 2026, late registration for first-year students ran from 9 to 20 February, on weekdays, subject to space.
