The four campuses
UJ teaches at Auckland Park Kingsway (APK), Auckland Park Bunting Road (APB), Doornfontein (DFC) and Soweto (SWC). You attend classes at the campus where your qualification is offered. If a qualification is offered at more than one campus, you attend the campus where UJ accepted you.
Extended programmes
Many faculties offer extended diplomas and degrees, which add a year of support. UJ considers only new first-time entering students for these programmes, and places are strictly limited.
Languages of instruction
UJ is a multilingual institution that promotes the preferred languages of Gauteng, namely English, Sesotho sa Leboa, Afrikaans and isiZulu. However, the language of instruction in all programmes is English.
Online study
UJ also offers some qualifications fully online, such as its BCom online programmes, through UJ Online.
Choosing a programme
Each programme has its own APS and subject requirements, so compare your results carefully. Read the UJ admission requirements page, then follow the steps on the how to apply page. You can choose two study options on your application.
