Students at the University of Zululand (UNIZULU) use the Student iEnabler to accept offers, upload documents, register and pay fees. The guidance below comes from UNIZULU's registration portal, its FAQs and its first-year registration page.

What you do on iEnabler

  • Accept a firm offer, using the Accept Offer link
  • Upload your documents, using the Upload Document link
  • Register online
  • Check your fee balance
  • Pay your fees online

Your ITS PIN

You log in with your student number and ITS PIN. If you have forgotten your PIN or do not have one, log a query through UNIZULU's online query form.

Registration steps for first-years

  1. Accept your firm offer.
  2. Upload your documents.
  3. Verify your fee status.
  4. Register online.
  5. Get your proof of registration and arrange housing.

UNIZULU's registration portal also offers a step-by-step guide to the registration process.

Common registration problems

UNIZULU's FAQs list problems you can log a query about, such as:

  • A message saying the institution has not yet permitted you to register online
  • No admitted applications available for selection
  • No subjects loading from the academic structure
  • A "maximum credits exceeded" message
  • A changed email address or cellphone number

Your fee statement

UNIZULU's student fee guide explains how to see your statement online:

  1. Log in to the Student iEnabler.
  2. Click Student Enquiry on the left.
  3. Click Summarize Statement of Account to see your fee balance.
  4. Click FEE to get your full statement.

Documents for special cases

Students with disabilities upload a medical report or doctor's letter through the system. International students upload a valid study permit, proof of medical cover and a certified copy of their passport.

Registration dates

In 2026, first-time entering students registered online from 26 to 30 January, and returning and postgraduate students from 2 to 6 February. UNIZULU contacts you to say when you have been admitted to register.

Returning students with debt

If you owe fees, the system may block your registration until you complete a payment plan. Debt above R10,000 must first be reduced by 50% or to R10,000.

Paying fees

You can pay online through the Student iEnabler, as well as by ABSA deposit, card at the Student Accounts Office or EFT. Check your balance by SMS to 34763 in the format "UZ [student number] B", or by email to fees@unizulu.ac.za.

Keep your details safe

Never share your PIN, and use only your student number as your payment reference. Use the official bank details on UNIZULU's website.
