Mangosuthu University of Technology (MUT) in Umlazi offers post-diploma programmes, such as advanced diplomas and postgraduate diplomas, as well as master's degrees. MUT says that these programmes let students progress from a diploma up to doctoral level. Unlike first-year study, postgraduate applications do not go through the CAO. Here is how it works, based on MUT's official pages.

How to apply

  1. Download the postgraduate application form from the post-diploma programmes page on MUT's website.
  2. Complete the form and attach certified copies of your previous certificates and academic records.
  3. Email it to the Head of Admissions at info@mut.ac.za, or drop it off at MUT.

The form asks for your ID or passport, your school certificate, your diploma or degree certificates, and a SAQA evaluation certificate if you studied outside South Africa.
